Spinner Rangana Herath took 14 wickets for 184 runs, which claimed his career best.and Herath capturing 5 wickets in the second innings. Pakistan, chasing 271 to level the series, were struggling on 127 for seven wickets by the close of the fourth day of the second test. Pakistan was all out for 165 after 50 minutes play in the final day.
This is incidentally cricket legend Mahela Jayawardene’s last test match, and surprisingly he has got half centuries in his first and last innings in his career. Mahela was then awarded a guard of honour for his great tenure of Test cricket.
