Australia have clinched the first one-day international against Sri Lanka by 107 runs in the opening one-day international at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The Australians scored 305 for five off their 50 overs, with man-of-the-match debutant Phil Hughes hitting 112, and  Tillakaratne Dilshan (51) and Dinesh Chandimal (73) hit half-centuries but Sri Lanka bowled out for 198 while chasing 306 with Clint McKay taking four for 33.
