2nd International Conference on Community & Water Services
This year's International Conference on Community & Water Services will be held in the North Central Provincial town of Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka from 16-18 August 2013.
The conference titled Water Cooperation for Community Development is organized by the Sri Lanka Ministry of Water Supply & Drainage under the chairmanship of Minister of Water Supply and Drainage Dinesh Gunawardena.
The three-day Conference, convened to mark this year's UN declared theme 'International Year of Water Cooperation, aims to provide a platform for sharing knowledge, strategies and best practices and to promote dialogue, mutual understanding and co-operation among communities managing their water.
About 500 delegates from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan and Maldives are expected to participate at the Conference.
