Sri Lanka Premier League cancelled for 2013

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to cancel this year's Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL) as the franchises have not paid the guarantee fees,news sources said. 

The decision had reportedly been taken at an emergency meeting held last evening between SLC officials and SLPL organizers. Seven franchises were due to deposit their guarantee fees by yesterday. However, none had done so, prompting the decision to cancel this year's tournament for 2013.
