Lanka, Sri Lanka’s low cost carrier recently named the winner of the Christmas
Promotion winner as 9 year old Tiara Kelly, a year 5 student of Bishops
College, Colombo. Tiara was presented with two return air tickets to Dubai as
her prize by Mr. Kapila Chandrasena – Chief Executive Officer of Mihin Lanka,
in the presence of Ms. Rangi Perera, Manager Marketing Communications, Ms.
Ingrid Guruge, Consultant Marketing for Mihin Lanka, Tiara’s mother, Ms.
Nadeera Kelly and Jude Benedict from TNL
Lite.
The
Christmas Promotion which was held from the 5th to the 31st
of December 2013, on TNL Lite, asked listeners between the ages of 8 and 14 to
SMS in what Christmas means to them, in order to win two return air tickets to
Dubai. Tiara Kelly who SMS’d in ‘I think Christmas is that Jesus should be born
in our hearts. Then we feel that it is a real Christmas with love and joy’ was
adjudged the winner. ‘I learnt this from the chaplain at school during our
nativity play’, commented Tiara.
Commenting
on the promotion, Kapila Chandrasena – Chief Executive Officer, Mihin Lanka
said: ‘Christmas is a time for giving and this years promotion was aimed at
giving back to children who enjoy this season the most. The winner walks away
with two return air tickets to one of our most sought after destinations –
Dubai.’

the true meaning of Christmas. Generally what we commonly hear during Christmas
