Nishantha Ranatunga commenced
his official duties as the Chairman/CEO of Mihin Lanka with an inauguration
ceremony at the Mihin Lanka office in Colombo.
The event began with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp, followed
by religious observances and blessings given by clergy from Buddhist,
Christian, Hindu and Muslim denominations.
The ceremony was presided over
by a series of high profile officials including Dr Ravinda Ruberu - Secretary
of the Civil Aviation Authority, Mr H.M.C
Nimalsiri DGCA/CEO Civil Aviation Authority Mr Prassana Wickremasuriya
Chairman Airport and Aviation and other Ministry staff..Board members and staff
of Mihin Lanka and officials.

Ranatunga joins Mihin with over 20 years of extensive
Managerial experience in the Private Sector, Media and Communications and the
field of Public Administration and Business Management with a proven track
record. Ranatunga’s forte is his strong leadership and managerial prowess, with
the ability to play a multi disciplinarian role in any organization, being a
self-motivated go-getter with natural flair for achieving goals and consistency
in performance. He is a result oriented achiever with an excellent track record
for identifying opportunities for accelerated growth.

on his new appointment at Mihin Lanka, Nishantha Ranatunga – Chairman / CEO,

Nishantha
Ranatunga’s appointment as Chairman of Mihin Lanka will make him the 4th in
line of Chairman’s appointed to the company. The first being, the current
Defense Secretary, Gotabaya Rajapaksa followed by Raja Edirisuriya and
Nishantha Wickremasinghe.
