My Friend |
The management team of Hameedia, Sri Lanka’s leading menswear specialist
invites their loyal customers to join them in celebrating Father’s Day on
Sunday 15 June at Excel World. Hameedia’s loyal customers and their families
are invited to share their love on this special day with over one hundred underprivileged
children who are part of the ‘My Friend’ project. At the event, customers will
be able to spend time and interact with children who are part of the project
and they will also have the opportunity to support these children with their
contributions.
The ‘My Friend’ project was initiated by Fouzul Hameed, Managing
Director, Hameedia, to support the growth and education of underprivileged
children in Sri Lanka. The ‘My Friend’ project promotes the message of “staying
in school” and the project is aimed at supporting the country’s underprivileged
children in their efforts to better themselves through education regardless of
caste, creed or religion.
The My Friend programme |
Father’s Day is a celebration honouring fatherhood and the influence of
fathers in society. A father is a role model for a child and for some, a hero.
The Father’s Day event by Hameedia gives customers the opportunity to support
the ‘My Friend’ initiative which has funded thousands of less fortunate school
children, providing them with basic requirements including school supplies,
financial aid, educational materials and daily nourishment. All profits from the purchase of ‘My Friend’
branded merchandise will be channelled towards the project along with five
percent of sales from the FH Collection. To support the ‘My Friend’ project and make an important
difference in the lives of many children, sign up for the fashion tip updates
by texting “Reg FHGuide” to 77000. For
more information about the project, log on to the “My Friend” website www.myfriend.lk or contact 0777 354 570.
