Amãna Takaful introduces ‘Suwasiri’ - the most affordable health Insurance policy available in Sri Lanka

‘Suwasiri’ is a simple and practical health insurance policy that offers policyholders an affordable cover in times of poor health.  An annual insurance coverage of Rs. 100,000/= can be obtained for an annual fee of Rs. 2,222/=. This covers administrative fees and doctor consultations as well as medication costs amounting to Rs. 30,000/=. ‘Suwasiri’ also covers the cost of hospitalisation, surgery, medical treatment, medicines, as well as any medical investigations required to determine treatments for ailments.

‘Suwasiri’ is the most affordable policy available in Sri Lanka. The policy provides benefits such as a cover for ward charges in private hospitals for up to 10 days at the rate of Rs. 4,000/= per day. Theatre charges up to Rs. 7,500/=, surgeon’s fees of up to Rs. 25,000/=, anaesthetist’s fees of Rs. 5,000/=, as well as specialist charges of up to Rs. 5,000/= are all included in the cover for policyholders  who are  between the ages of 18 and 55.

Additionally, ‘Suwasiri’ covers examinations fees, x-rays, scans and MRIs for a sum of Rs. 5,000/=. A cover for hospitalisation is also provided as long as the individuals are admitted for less than three days at the cost of Rs. 15,000/=. If hospitalisation occurs at a government hospital a cash grant of Rs. 500/= per day is provided for a maximum of 21 days.
