H Connect becomes the first Sri Lankan BPO company to achieve ISO 27001:2013 certification

H Connect’s unparalleled standards were recently validated by ISO 27001:2013 certification, making it the first BPO company in Sri Lanka to be certified under the revised standard. The certification was provided following an audit by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). This achievement highlights H Connect’s commitment towards delivering not only the highest quality services but also the assurance of information security that their clients require.

The ISO 27000 family of standards helps organizations keep information assets secure and is especially focused towards managing the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted to a company by third parties. ISO 27001 is the best-known standard in the family in providing requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). An ISMS is a systematic approach to managing sensitive company information so that it remains secure and includes a comprehensive set of policies covering people, processes and IT systems via the application of a risk management process.
